Working with the written word for over a decade means I’ve worked on many projects for many different clients. Unfortunately, as this work has been completed through a consultative process, the intellectual property is rarely mine to share. However, as some of my previous employers have shared case studies of clients I have worked with, I can share those.
I have also worked for many industries as a result, including but not limited to;
Medical (NHS, ALS, 33n), defense (MoD), aviation (BA, VAA and EasyJet), financial (quickbooks, SIX), retail (Godiva, H&M, Richemont), manufacturing, hospitality and services (Sky).

The client: Virgin Atlantic
The course: Systems training
Employer: LEO Learning (now GP Strategies)
The requirement from VAA was for a large online and gamified course to train their airport and customer service representatives about their new booking systems. The online systems training was built in gomo by myself after liaising with the client at their offices to take the appropriate number of screenshots to fully replicate their system in a safe environment.
The course also included a game in which the staff could test their knowledge of the new system through realistic scenarios. Through a scoring system they could challenge each other and see their position on a leaderboard.
Given the size and nature of this course, Virgin Atlantic wanted to build excitement amongst staff prior to launch and so I was tasked with writing two movie style trailers to advertise the training – as seen in the screen shot above.

Working closely with the client and lead learning designer, I assisted in the overall design and format of this course in which SIX employees could explore a range of peaks from base camp, collecting bonus items along the way. Each peak had a different lesson to teach, all with the focus of Culture Competence.
As one of two key designers from kick off, I also wrote the course content scripts and offered imagery, animation, and gamified solutions and suggestions to the software developer who built it from those scripts.

The client: Godiva
The course: Chocolate Quest
Employer: LEO Learning / GP Strategies
Case Study: found here

Godiva approached LEO Learning to build a large online course and game to teach their in-store assistants about the history of chocolate, so they might be better informed about their products when speaking with customers. The course was fun and vibrant and the feedback from learners was incredibly enthusiastic.
I took over as lead learning designer towards the end of the project as part of training in that area. This involved completing the online learning all about the history of chocolate through the ages, and how chocolate is made from cocoa bean to store.
The accompanying game had a landing page based in a Godiva store with a variety of customers to assist – each linking to a level. I was not the lead on this part of the project, however, but I did get to write the content for the boss fight at the end of each level in which the learner was challenged to make their way around a snakes and ladders style board with a figure from history firing questions at them from the learning.
